Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Khangura, Medical Director and our own Dr. Browne Dr. Balvir Singh Khangura

Dr. Khangura graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at Punjab Agricultural University at the top of his class. After graduating in 1981 he did an internship and then practiced in a mixed animal practice for two years- treating pets to farm animals- Dr. K did it all! After moving to the USA in 1983 he practiced in numerous settings. He was the primary emergency clinician at the Ft. Pierce emergency and specialty clinic working side by side with board certified specialty veterinarians including a neurologist, internal medicine, surgeon and ophthalmologist. Through this experience Dr. K was able to obtain a unique advanced skill set which allowed him to become an excellent diagnostician and clinician.

He then relocated to Jupiter, FL where he has lived and practiced for the past twenty-five years. When he moved to Jupiter he accepted the challenge to open a low-cost spay and neuter clinic and became the first chief veterinarian at North County Humane Society (now Safe Harbor) before opening his own practice in 1994. Dr. K is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Feline Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, American Heartworm Association, American Dental Society and American Veterinary Laser Surgical Society (Just to name a few!). His interests include Surgery, Ophthalmology, Laser Therapy, Orthopedics, Ear and Dermatology, Internal medicine, Dentistry, Alternative Medicine and Regenerative Medicine. Dr. K has taken advanced courses in Laser Surgery, Therapeutic Laser and Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Khangura is of the Sikh religion and is originally from North India.

Dr. Leanne Browne Feldman is a native Floridian, born and raised in Jupiter, Florida. She attended Duke University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy, with special interest in primate behavior and anatomy. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, and has been practicing at Dr. K’s Animal Hospital since June of 2004. Dr. Browne is married, and has two dogs and two cats at home. In her free time, she is a triathlete and runner, and enjoys reading and music. Dr. Browne’s main interests include ultrasound, dermatology, surgery, and clinical pathology. She is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Palm Beach Veterinary Society.
